From early applications to test documentation.
Company records place the development of BLC from 2003 and identify applications in community facilities.
2003–2006 · Material development
Company history dates its establishment to 2003 and an initial material-development period to 2003–2006. This chronology describes BLC’s development; it is not current certification of a building system.
2007–2009 · References from company archives
The archives record applications in stands associated with Rouge et Or and Parc Jean-Drapeau, and in hospital floors in Québec City. They identify types of works explored: sports facilities and institutional buildings.
These references come from the company’s internal history. Volumes, the exact material role and construction details are not specified here because sufficiently detailed, publishable site records are not available. No current commercial relationship with these institutions is announced.
2013–2020 · Technical milestones available for review
Public reports document another part of the history: Qualitas compression tests in 2013, Exova thermal characterisation and tests on the MTQ batch in 2014, the MTQ letter of 19 March 2015 and the 2020 InnovAct study.
Each document retains its scope: specimen results, material characterisation, recognition of a specific use or a scenario study. They support review of the data without turning a historical reference into universal approval.
Connect experience with your project
For a current project, BLC proposes starting with the intended function, relevant data and the designer’s requirements. Historical references provide context; conditions of use are established for the present project.
