Moulded infill or closure components, with facings and connections matched to their function.
Manufacturers and industrial partners
Combining low weight, insulation and production in a controlled environment opens opportunities for new components. BLC seeks to explore these possibilities with precast manufacturers.

Moulded infill or closure components, with facings and connections matched to their function.
02
Insulating layers integrated into composite elements. Interfaces, moisture and thermal bridges are assessed at assembly level.
03
Repeatable units intended to reduce fill weight or simplify selected operations, subject to expected loading and exposure.
04
Shapes and modules developed with a manufacturer for a defined building or infrastructure need.
01
Low material density may reduce component weight. Finished weight also includes reinforcement, inserts, facings and moisture. Transport and lifting benefits are calculated for the actual component.
02
A lightweight insulating cementitious matrix enables exploration of integrated assemblies. Selection depends on required service, thickness and total assembly cost.
03
Moulds, controlled batching, monitored curing and component acceptance can form part of a factory quality plan. Production rate still requires pilot validation.
Function, dimensions, target weight, service life, exposure, tolerances and installation method.
Mould filling, curing, dimensional stability and demoulding strength under factory conditions.
Lifting, inserts, anchors, storage, transport and temporary stages are designed and tested.
Loads, interfaces, moisture, thermal behaviour and, where relevant, fire and acoustics; followed by a pilot run and quality control.
The historical 2.0 MPa result at 24 hours is a compressive-strength reference. It does not by itself establish a demoulding, lifting or delivery time.
